stand Pintaudi

Allestimento di uno stand alla fiera “Cucinare” di Pordenone / Design of a stand at the “Cucinare” fair in Pordenone

Info

Between the 22th and the 25th of March 2013, at the Pordenone Fair took place the first edition of the “Cucinare” event, a show dedicated to the kitchen in a all senses – from food to health, from new technologies to furnishings – where the best excellences of the “Made in Italy” of the Region Friuli Venezia Giulia expose. An event of great success, also mediatic thanks to the presence of numerous starred chefs and famous faces of the television.
Among the two hundred stands, also exhibited “Pintaudi srlu”, an artisan confectionery company based in Trieste, founded and directed by Giuseppe Pintaudi in 2004, based on the research of the absolute quality and genuineness of each of its products, starting from the basic ingredients, producing different types of biscuits, baked cakes and local traditional desserts such as “panettoni”, “pinze” and “putizze”.
The setting up of the Pintaudi stand was entrusted to the study of the triestine graphic designer Matteo Bartoli who design the whole coordinated image: from the logo to the visiting cards, from the catalogs to the illustrative posters, from the packaging to the labels.
For the occasion, the architect Christina Kruml, in collaboration with the studio Bartoli, designed an exhibition wall composed of wooden boxes usually used to hold wine bottles, all of the same size, but arranged alternately vertically and horizontal to form a variegated pattern in which to insert, in addition to food products, some graphics illustrating not only the products themselves, but also the history of the company and its qualitative characteristics. The particularity of this system – also repeated in the house K – is the easy to be assembled without the need for any fixed point, which can be quickly dismantled and implemented over time and according to the needs.
This equipped wall was placed slightly rotated respect to the side of the square (4 x 4 meters) which formed the layout of the exhibition stand. In this way, on the back was created a space used as goods storage. In order to hide them from view, the black color for the background was used, which, like a scenic backdrop, made it possible to optically increase the space in continuity with the floor, also in black. In contrast, the remaining furniture was painted in white, with the company name and its logo applied as low relief on the smooth background. The combination of neutral colors has made it possible to cancel the space by focusing attention on the equipped wall and the products on display there.
